 | Aker University Hospital is introducing paperless patient records | |
 | | |
 | Aker University Hospital (Ahus) has now signed a contract for the use of DIPS electronic patient records and patient management solutions. Ahus is one of Norway’s largest hospital trusts, with 848 beds in both the somatic and psychiatric sectors. Dips will replace the present patient management system from Tietoenator, and the hospital plans to use DIPS’ digital workflow and paperless records solutions. This will provide great opportunities for improving the quality and efficiency of the treatment of patients. | |

 | This April, a pre-project is being carried out by the hospital, in cooperation with DIPS and Deloitte, to plan the extensive process involved in introducing the new system. On completion of the pre-project, the actual work of introducing the new system will start, and the plan is for the DIPS solution to be fully rolled out towards the end of 2005.
Ahus is the fourth health institution under the Eastern Regional Health Authority - Helse Øst, to make a call-off under the framework agreement with Helse Øst RHF, which DIPS was awarded in 2003. Previously, Akershus University Hospital, Asker og Bærum Hospital and Østfold Hospital have signed contracts with DIPS.
